I bought this book without even knowing german! There was a cheaper version some years ago by the german publisher Zweitausendeins who sold it for 25 Euro.
As soon as i saw these pictures i knew i had to get this book. The pictures are explaining themselves as in any good anatomybook, though the texts include a ton of information that can’t be shown in pictures.

There is the big book don’t know the exact nameand some of its sections are available as smaller independent and topic focused books if I remember correctly. Die Gestalt des Menschen by Gottfried Bammes. Even if it is in german, I heard that the drawings and plates are worth it. The centre line, then helps us place, perpendicular to it, the eyeline, the brow line, the nose line and the lip line.

This looks like it has the philosophies of Bridgeman, but in a more real world explanation. It was recommended from one of the instructors of the workshop and I have been looking for it since. This is one of the best books on anatomy available; probably one of my most valuable purchases as an mfnschen. July 10th, Hehe, I dees love this pictures – maybe because they are even older than me.

No wonder it hasn’t been translated yet. May 9th, And some of the models the old athlete and the dancer are really great. When placing this line, those are the anatomical clues that we look for, and in placing this centre line, we are immediately capturing the angle and axis of the head.
There’s a downside though. Don’t worry, it happens! Yeah I figure that I’ll probably have to break out the English-German dictionary on this one haha.
